Quality: We believe that exceptional service to our stakeholders will raise the valuation profession to lofty levels and ensure its sustainability.
Integrity and Transparency: We are committed to highest ethical standards and will ensure that our actions are beyond reproach when dealing with our stakeholders. We believe that transparency breeds trust and delivers feedback from stakeholders to improve our decision making.
Respect: We treat others with respect and dignity. We value cultural diversity and individual differences and foster an environment that encourages communication, debate and listening to each other regardless of socio –economic status or position to allow growth and learning.

Sustainability: Climate change challenges require concerted efforts from government agencies, private sector, non – governmental organisations and academia. We will ensure that our activities facilitate the embedding sustainability factors in the valuation process.
Our mission is to promote International Valuation Standards and improve professional standards of our membership through collaboration with stakeholders and contribution to development of educational programs in order to serve the public interest.
To promote the common interests of persons carrying on the valuers’ profession ;
To encourage and promote the study of any matters related directly or indirectly to the subject of valuations and advance the theory and practice of valuation and related areas in all their aspects;
To provide and encourage Continued Professional Development (CPD) for its members, acknowledging the need for all its members to obtain such CPD on an ongoing basis in the interests of the advancement of professional valuation standards ;
To take steps, initiate, promote, support and procure the adoption of such legislation relating to property valuation and to the general practice of valuation as may be necessary to ensure that only persons who have proved themselves competent to value property be allowed to practice as valuers and to seek to ensure that membership of the Institute is accepted as proof of the said competence;
To establish, insofar as practicable, uniform methods of valuing property;

To carry out and publish research
To represent the collective views of its members to related bodies, public authorities and other interested organisations and persons;
To provide a forum for exchange of views, to preserve and maintain its integrity and status and with all matters affecting the professional interest of its members, and generally to promote the interests of the Institute and its members.
To adopt a recommended scale of fees and charges, as laid down by the Council from time to time, for valuing property, immovable or movable, and for other related services;
To represent the collective views of its members to related bodies, public authorities and other interested organisations and persons;
To promote friendly and good relations between members, to provide for the amicable settlement of professional disputes among members and regulate the professional conduct of members;
To ensure the professional independence of valuers in whatever capacities they may serve;
To develop and maintain effective relationships with government and with other related regional, national, and international valuation bodies;
To respond to the needs of its members.
